Park Improvement Projects

The Brushy Creek Parks department has staked off a section of the disc golf course near hole 18 as a “No Mow Zone” to allow native grasses and bluebonnets a chance to grow undisturbed. The District participates in a National Wildlife Federation initiative called the Mayors’ Monarch Pledge and is committed to projects designed to attract butterflies. 

The greenspace is still open to foot traffic and will hopefully be a nice spot for bluebonnet pictures this spring!
