District Projects : IN PROGRESS : Hillside Lift Station Decommissioning Project
Hillside Lift Station Decommissioning Project
Location: Hillside Drive & Sutter Creek Trail
Estimated timeframe: Construction is anticipated to begin in August 2024 and last approximately four months, weather permitting.
Description: The project includes the decommissioning of an existing lift station located northeast of the intersection of Sutter Creek Trail and Hillside Drive and will include the installation of a gravity sewer line on Sutter Creek Trail and Hillside Drive.
Impact to the community: Work will partially block sections of Hillside Drive and Sutter Creek Trail. No portion of any road will fully close during construction, but residents of Hillside Drive and Sutter Creek Trail and motorists who use these roads will be affected, as the roadways will be reduced to one lane with flagging operations in place. Once complete, this project will reduce the risk of a sewage spill by eliminating the possibility of a mechanical failure. It will also enhance the safety of Brushy Creek team members by eliminating the need to maintain the lift station, which is currently in the middle of a road. Construction work for this project is funded by money allocated from the American Rescue Plan Act.
