Stage II Water Conservation Restrictions Have Been Lifted.

Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District is no longer under Stage II Water Conservation Restrictions.   All mandatory water restrictions have been lifted.

Brushy Creek has been under Stage II Water Conservation Restrictions since October 2011, due to the level of Lake Georgetown.  The District purchases approximately 75% of our raw water from the lake which is managed by the Brazos River Authority.  Until this week, the lake level remained low resulting in drought status.  After this week's rains, the lake has returned to its full level.  Additionally, in November 2011, the District brought online a ground well which has increased our raw water supply by nearly 325 million gallons a year.

The District is hosting a town hall meeting on April 19th at the Community Center, 16318 Great Oaks Drive, to discuss the recent drought, its impact on vegetation, and proper irrigation.  Information will also be provided on the Parks Master Plan, Utility Projects, and Recycling.
