Ground Well #3 Update

On November 18, 2011, Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District brought online ground well #3.  Water from the ground well is being pumped to the Water Treatment Facility on Sam Bass Road for treatment before being pumped into the water distribution system.  The ground well is expected to produce up to 300 million gallons of water per year, depending on the level of the aquifer.  This ground water will supplement the 1.3 billion gallons of raw surface water the District has under contract at Lake Georgetown.
