Dear Brushy Creek residents,
Williamson County crews will conduct a road resurfacing operation in the Brushy Creek neighborhood of Oak Brook starting April 21 through May 5, weather permitting. The county will continue resurfacing roads in Brushy Creek and nearby neighborhoods through August 2025.
The Williamson County Road and Bridge Department will notify residents in advance of the work by door hangers, flashing message signs, or static message signs.
Here are a few key details:
- Resident Notifications:
- Door hangers will be delivered prior to resurfacing in each area.
- Crews will be on-site to assist residents with driveway access during brief disruptions.
- Message boards will be placed at neighborhood entrances a few weeks in advance as an additional reminder.
- Work Hours:
- Crews will work from approximately 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. to avoid school and rush hour traffic.
- Sweeping:
- Loose rock will be swept up 1–2 days after application and again as needed.
- Schedule Updates:
Williamson County officials said the resurfacing work will require a moving traffic control operation. Motorists should follow the instructions of the posted signs as well as the crew members who are helping with traffic control.
Overall, there should be little impact to motorists on the local streets because crews will resurface the roads one half at a time, and one-way flaggers will help direct people through the work area.
