FREE  Christmas Tree Recycling for Brushy Creek MUD Residents!

Happy Holidays!  Brushy Creek MUD offers residents free Christmas Tree Recycling.  The District's trash and recycling vendor, Texas Disposal Systems, will pick up your tree and recycle it into nutrient-rich mulch for landscaping!

Option 1:  Curbside Pick Up  Saturday, January 14th

How Does Curbside Pick Up Work? 

  • Leave your Christmas tree at your curb the night before so it is ready for next day pick up
  • Texas Disposal Systems will pick up trees in Brushy Creek MUD on Saturday, January 14. Trees need to be curbside before 7:00 am

    Trees must meet the following guidelines to be picked up for recycling:

1.   Natural trees with ALL decorations and stand removed

2.   No "flocked" trees with artificial snow will be accepted 

3. Trees must be less than 7 feet tall for pickup. Please cut tree into two sections if taller than 7 feet.

Option 2:  Tree Drop Off  Saturday, January 21st - Trees needs to be dropped off before 7 am 

How Does Tree Drop Off Work? 

  • Beginning December 26 to January 21, 2023 - Before 7:00 AM, residents can drop their trees off on the west side (BBQ cookoff side) of the Community Center parking lot. This location is just off the parking lot marked with a sign.

  • Trees must have all decorations, stands, lights, tinsel, and any other items removed.

  • Trees must be natural and without artificial snow, ornaments or stand. Trees taller than 7 feet must be cut in half.
