INDEPENDENCE DAY FESTIVAL

 

Due to the impending weather our area will be experiencing this week, The Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District in conjunction with the Brushy Creek Women’s Association have changed the location of their Annual Independence Day Festival on Saturday, July 3, 2010. The festival will now take place at the Brushy Creek Community Center Gymnasium located at 16318 Great Oaks Dr, Round Rock, TX 78681.

 

The festival will begin at 10 am and will last until noon. FREE festival activities will include a bounce castle, inflatable attractions, a clown, balloon animals, an inflatable t-ball game, face painting, hair painting and a craft table. The BCWA will also be on site giving out free watermelon, patriotic temporary tattoos and selling popcorn and bottled water. Kona Ice will also be in attendance selling snow cones.

 

Due to this change, the parade this year has been cancelled, however there will still be trophies awarded to the “Most Patriotically Dressed” attendees. There will be trophies given to participating attendees for Most Patriotic Child, Most Patriotic Adult, Most Patriotic Family, Most Patriotic Group and Judge’s Favorite.
