Adult Programs : BC METS - Stop the Bleed

STOP THE BLEED

Stop the Bleed teaches bystanders how to provide  hemorrhage control to victims with life-threatening injuries. The most common cause of preventable death after trauma is bleeding. Although this national program was created in response to the series of mass casualty incidents across the nation, you are even more likely to use the techniques in everyday injuries at home, in a car crash, or another life-threatening event. This roughly 2-hour course is taught by a Trauma Nurse from St. David's Round Rock Medical Center and will include lecture and hands-on skills practice with direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet application.

You must email m.morrow@bcmud.org to RSVP for this class.
