Adult Programs : BC METS - Topic Tours

TOPIC TOURS

Join us at the community center, where we learn about a topic through online videos from the masters of the subjects!

Monday, July 13: Topic: Conflict Resolution
10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Conflict will happen no matter what, and there's ways to handle it that are more useful. We’ll learn about active listening, identifying typical drivers of conflict, and how to “loop” to help you find out what you’re REALLY arguing about. We’ll also learn the 4 types of conflict personality types and how to identify them, so we can nurture healthy conflict in our relationships.

Friday, August 14: Topic: Dopamine and the Brain
10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

We’ll watch a video with Dr. Anna Lembke, Chief of Addiction Medicine at Stanford, to understand what’s happening in the brain so you can break compulsive behaviors, reset your dopamine, and focus on what you want to. Break your facebook, scrolling, online shopping, or caffeine habits!
