BRUSHY CREEK MUD SWIMMING POOL WEATHER POLICY

District policy requires the closure of all District-owned pools once temperatures reach 32 degrees Fahrenheit or lower.

Closures last until the temperature rises above 32 degrees for an extended period—additionally, closures last at least for the duration of a shift.

For example, Sendero Springs Pool is open on Mondays for three shifts:

• 5:45-8 a.m.
• 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
• 4-7 p.m.

If the temperature is forecast on that day to drop to 32 degrees or lower from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m., Sendero Springs Pool will be closed for the entire first shift and reopened for the 11 a.m. shift, weather permitting. If the temperature is not forecast to rise above 32 degrees until noon, then the pool will not open until the third shift at 4 p.m., weather permitting.

Since Cat Hollow, Creekside, and Highland Horizon pools close during the fall and winter seasons, this policy typically only affects Sendero Springs Pool.
